Event Secret Service (PT Job Experiences)
Fintech Festival 2024
This is my first time participating in such a major event, where individuals from all sectors come together to collaborate and showcase their talents. My role for this event is as a stagehand, responsible for overseeing the Festival Stage, which accommodates 5,000 people. When I first laid eyes on the stage, I was taken aback by its immense size, and it truly left a lasting impression on me. This experience has sparked a desire within me to dive deeper into the events industry and explore all it has to offer.
Shell Event 2024
It was Shell's annual event, and once again, my role was as a stagehand. This time, it was my first experience seeing a stage set up with a "party vibe," perfectly complementing the stunning location at Sentosa. Sandbags were laid out on the beach, with a temporary stage set up in front of them, while a cocktail bar was placed at the back of the stage. This unique setting was both visually striking and functional. Through this event, I learned that adaptability is one of the most essential skills in the events industry, as it requires quick thinking and flexibility to accommodate ever-changing circumstances..
STEP Asia Conference 2024
This was my first experience working at a conference, and it was fascinating to see so many CEOs and VIPs from various countries. My role was ushering, and throughout the event, I learned a great deal about professionalism and etiquette. I gained valuable insights into how to approach high-profile guests, the tone and manner of speaking to them, and the importance of remaining calm and composed, especially in situations where we needed to de-escalate tension. This experience taught me the significance of maintaining a respectful and poised demeanor when interacting with distinguished guests.
Adidas AMC event 2024
This was another private event—the Adidas annual Sports Day, which also included a "Staff Build Cameraderie" segment. My role was as the Team IC (In Charge). During the competitive portion of the event, some players misunderstood the instructions given by the team ICs and, as a result, threw tantrums in our direction. This moment highlighted to me just how crucial effective communication is in event management. Although the event concluded on a chaotic note, I saw it as an invaluable learning experience. It gave me insight into how to handle such situations more effectively in the future. If I were in the shoes of those involved, I would be better prepared to resolve conflicts and maintain a smooth flow.
Prudential Flying Start 2025
This private event truly amazed me, especially when I saw that the stage was designed in the shape of an apex, symbolizing their three core mottos. The unique design not only looked impressive, but it also created a more immersive experience for the audience. With a 360-degree view of the stage, it allowed everyone to feel more connected and engaged with the event, regardless of where they were seated. The thoughtful staging design helped to foster a sense of inclusivity and involvement, making the experience even more memorable for all.
