Time flew by, and soon I was in Secondary 2, with the annual prize presentation approaching once again. When the same teacher approached me, saying I had been selected for an award, I initially thought it was the same award as last year. To my surprise, it was not. Upon closer inspection of the form the teacher handed me, I saw that it was the Bilingual Award, recognizing excellence in my mother tongue and proficiency in English. I was stunned and stumbled to the ground, as I had never received an academic award before. This recognition motivated me to study harder and strive to be a better version of myself every day.
